Basic thing I am trying to figure out is if I can take a 3d pdf file and get a model from it into Solidworks. I know you can go from Solidworks to 3d pdf but I can not find any information of anyone successfully going from 3d pdf to anytype of CAD file.
Backstory... One of my customers has started sending me 3d pdf files to quote and I asked if they could give me a model I can use in Solidworks and they said I should be able to get it from the 3d pdf file. I can not find a way to do it although they are saying they can. I have no problem paying for software if I need it either I just need to be able to get the file into Solidworks so I can run some simulations for tool cut time etc. (I use Camworks to program the machines.) I don't want to call the customer back and say hey I don't think it is possible to do this unless I'm certain of it, and they are kind of being a pain about just sending me a model like the use to. Figured I would ask here before I move any farther further. (Yes I have googled called my retailer etc. Everything I am finding says I can not do it. Just want a reassurance or to see if someone found a way I can not currently find.)
